Located in the western part of the Ishizuchi mountain range, it is well known as an easy-to-climb mountain at an elevation of 1,278 meters.
There are two mountain trails from Kumakogen Town: the Hatanogawa Route, which is the shortest route, and the Rokubudo Route, where you can enjoy the real pleasure of mountain climbing. You can choose the route that suits you.
The steep walk along the cliffs to Mt. Ishizuchi’s main peak, Mt. Tengu at an altitude of 1,982 meters, is for experts.
